A Letter From the Owner
Hello, I am Mike Kennedy Jr, owner and operator of Windmill Oil Tank Service, Inc., and it has come to my attention that you may need some free advice regarding a recent oil leak or spill on your property. Problems like this can have a negative environmental impact and require prompt remediation. Windmill has expedited the remediation of thousands of oil spills at homes and businesses throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County and New York City for over 35 years and has an excellent relationship with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
We understand that oil spills are often intimidating, but we deal with this daily and will gladly provide advice about what is required by the NYSDEC to close the open spill file. If you have already contracted to do the work with others, we can provide a second opinion or inspect completed work to ensure you will not have problems in the future.
You will also be happy to hear that Windmill works with all major insurance companies. We can serve as your insurance advocate. The truth is, some brokers may say that you are not covered, which is not always the case. Should you decide to contract Windmill to do the job, we will accept a pre-negotiated settlement from your insurance company as full payment. You will not have a deductible on third party work while we handle the remediation. Windmill will even install a full-size, 275 gallon, temporary oil tank and hook it up with new oil lines, so you will not be left without heat or hot water while you wait for your new oil tank to be installed. Windmill will also install a new tank after the clean up is completed.
If bothersome fumes from an oil spill have sent you packing, we will get you back into the comfort of your home right away. All Windmill trucks are properly equipped to apply vapor barriers that take care of any troublesome oil smells. Technicians are also equipped to set up ventilation systems to mediate odors.
Windmill Oil Tank Service, Inc. is certified to work at commercial and residential sites throughout Nassau County, Suffolk County and New York City. At Windmill, we never use subcontractors. All work is done by our own technicians with a project coordinator and myself on site to manage the job.
